History is shaped by our hands.

Last night was kickball night (yeah!). I love kickball night. Its so much fun and it gives me a chance to have some fun with the people I work with, as well as meet a lot of their friends, thereby making new friends. If I sound so upbeat and cheery that its making you sick, well, I should, because last night WE WON!

I honestly don't know how it happened. I think our defense finally showed up, because our offense sure didn't. We won 3-1. It had to be our defense. We didn't drop too many balls, and when we did, we were able to get the force out at second to prevent that runner from getting any further. I was involved on one of these plays. A ball dropped into the gap in short right and I was playing deep right. I couldn't get to it in time to make the catch, but I did get there right after the bounce. I picked it up and rifled it to second base, with it getting there just in time for the second baseman to catch it and get the forced out.

As for offense, I was 1 for 2. I had an infield bloop that the pitcher picked up and got me out at first. Then I had a decent kick that got me to first, but we already had 2 outs and I got stranded there.

Ahhhh... it was a great kickball night.
