Man's best friend
I'm so freaking tired.
I had to get up early for work today. 4 AM. That's not that big of a deal. I usually get up at 5 AM, anyway. And I prepared for it and went to bed early last night. Well laid plans, right?
Wrong.
My parents just moved to Florida last week. I'm watching their dog for the first few weeks while they puppy-proof the new house and get a fence in, etc. So far, its been a joy to have a dog around. Not last night. He had me up all night long.
He usually sleeps on my bed, which is fine. But after a little while, he wanted to go down on the floor to his pillow. This isn't a problem, except that it was dark and he was scared to jump off the bed. So he cried until I woke up and helped him out of the bed. An hour later he wanted back in the bed, but he wasn't sure he could make the jump without landing on me. So he cried until I woke up and helped him into bed. An hour later he wanted out of the bed again, so we repeat that bit. An hour after that he cried and cried because now he had to go outside, which is really rare for him at night. So I let him out, and of course, he gets his leash caught around a tree and now he's tied up and stuck. Out into the Wisconsin night in a pair of shorts I run to untie him. He then got demoted to sleeping on the couch. I wouldn't let him back into the bedroom.
