History is shaped by our hands.

24 returned this week. I spent the weekend with nomad and chilly and didn't watch Sunday night's episode on Sunday night. This is the only show that my coworkers and I all still watch. With other television pursuits, we have gone our separate ways (read: The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars make my soul hurt). I had a difficult time convincing the group to not talk about the show at lunch on Monday. Eventually, they conceeded to my wishes and agreed to not talk about the show until Tuesday. That left me with 4 hours of 24 to watch on Monday night.

That's a lot of television to watch in one night, but I took the challenge. I'm no stranger to television series marathons, with some impressive sit-ins on my television-viewing resume. Last night was no different. I would have happily taken another 2 hours of 24 last night. This season is just amazing. Not only are the additions to the cast just incredible, but the changes to the production staff (new producers from The Inside and Buffy) are also incredible. As good as the show was before, it does have an extra tight feeling this season. And I have to make mention... Jean Smart's portrayal of the First Lady is incredible; simply amazing.

This show is one of the few instances where I give Fox a pass. Fox does not have to suck my ass today. But American Idol starts tonight, so all bets are off for tomorrow.
