AAP Update
Writer's block is still on me like orange on CheetosĀ®, so I'm just going to write an AAP status update and hopefully there's something resembling good writing in it somewhere.
House Cleaning
Each night this week after I get home from work, I'm cleaning up one room of my house. The house in general needed a good cleaning, and doing it one room at a time each night makes the task a lot less daunting. My goal is to keep this up after it's clean so that I can keep the house in a perpetually clean state instead of just waiting until it gets nasty. We'll see.
Healthy Eating
I mentioned on Monday that I wanted to get in better shape. I'm tackling that task so far by adjusting my diet. I dropped my chocolate snacks out of my diet and replaced them with fat free chips or cookies. The chips taste good; the cookies, not so much. I'm also trying to eat more vegetables and salads and not as much red meat; hopefully none at all unless I'm visiting my parents.
Coverville
We've mentioned this podcast on WTF Radio a few times, but I need to mention it here. Episode 176 is amazing. It has some incredibly different takes on songs like "Highway to Hell" and "Download the Sickness" (that annoying Wah-ahh-ahh-ahh! metal song). You need to download this episode and give it a listen.
WoW
I started playing World of Warcraft last night. So far I'm very impressed. First of all, it's an MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) and keeps many of the conventions of other MMOs, but there are a few things that set it apart. The UI (User Interface) is amazing. It's so intuitive and it's incredibly easy to see views of character traits, items, and quests all at once and move things around between the views. The world is also very beautiful, even with my graphics settings right near the bottom. I saw some other's screenshots and I know it can get even better, and hopefully my new 'puter (arriving next week) will get me near those screenshots, but honestly, it's beautiful as it is.
As for gameplay, I didn't play too much last night and I still have a lot of learning to do. But it's fun, exciting, and I can see myself sinking some time into this world.
