A Peek Into How AAPs Mind Works
I apologize to those of you that may have come to my blog earlier today expecting a real entry and only found this. The story goes like this. I had just finished writing The List for tonight's episode of WTF Radio (answer Questions of the Week, please). The List practically wrote itself and I was feeling really good about writing. With creativity flowing in abundance, I decided to keep it going by making a blog post.
I popped onto Mindsay, clicked the 'Blog' button, moved my cursor to the text field, and proceeded to freeze up. Nothing at all. The smart move would have been to just click the 'Inbox' button and let it go until I was ready, but the completionist in me wanted to finish what I had started, even if I technically hadn't even started. The 'Blog' button was clicked, so something was started, right?
A nearby coworker quoted something from the Adam Sandler movie "Billy Madison" and all I could think of was that one scene where Billy is lounging on a floaty thing in the pool when he draws a smiley face on his stomach using suntan lotion. In one of the more stupid lines of dialog ever caught on film, Billy proceeds to look down at his chest and say, "smiley". And I laugh every time I see it.
I used the only tools I had available to me to draw a smiley face on my blog and I then blogged the word "smiley". I should have probably gone with the blue duck instead.
